When directional transition is required, sweeps are available in typical bends of 11.25, 22.5, 30, and 45 degrees - with radius of 18, 24, 30, and 36 inches. (Custom sizes are also available). Since both FMP and FMP sweeps are built to the same I.D./O.D., an internal or external coupler is required on either end of the sweep.

When FMP is used as casing pipe, spacers are typically installed around the carrier pipe and positioned every 6’ maintaining approximately 1.5” clearance between the top of the spacer’s runners and the inner wall of the FMP. Both spacers and end seals are available from Ironhed when you order your FMP.

Ironhed installs lifting eyes on the top pieces of FMP to facilitate safer hoisting, placement, and adjustment in the trench. We are happy to consider modifications upon customer’s request.
